Radio Free Hamptons wants to join with local K-12 and secondary school Teachers to create radio production projects that supplement your curricular assignments.

We can come into your classroom for 3-6weeks and work with students individually or collaboratively to produce short pieces related to the history, language, or media curriculum. Our projects fulfill 1-2 State Standards for multimedia literacy as well as serve as excellent contributions to graduating students' portfolios.  These projects may fulfill a school community service requirement.  The final audio pieces will be webcast over the Internet for an international audience.

CURRICULUM OUTLINE:

Students may:

-         Host a weekly one-hour live (or tape delay) show for airing over Radio Free Hamptons during the school year.

-         Receive professional training in audio production, learning sound recording, interviewing, digital audio editing, and basic music mixing.

-         If the school becomes a member of RFH, the students involved will receive a radio program webpage to post pictures and text about the school, a show email account and business cards.

    CURRICULUM GOALS:

There are many long-term benefits of this program.
